About Us
Texas A&M International University's Academic and Industry Readiness in Engineering and Science (TAMIU AIRES) Project is a 5-year grant totaling $3 million. The grant is funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Title V, which provides academic support services and career readiness training to upper-level undergraduate students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) degree programs. The mission of TAMIU AIRES is to assist upper-level STEM students in completing their degrees on time and successfully transitioning into the workforce upon graduation. Our academic services target the most challenging upper-level STEM courses by providing proactive advising and dedicated tutoring. Our career readiness component provides a variety of work-based learning opportunities and skill building workshops. Collectively, they compose a Comprehensive Readiness Program that ensures the success of our students.

Goals and Objectives:
TAMIU AIRES aims to integrate grant activities into standard campus operations within the next 5 years through the completion of the following objectives:
- Utilize data-driven decision-making to produce positive student outcomes.
- Institutionalize several grant personnel, such as the Academic Success Coach and Career Readiness Coordinator, to continue offering the support services upper-level STEM students need to succeed.
- Create a TAMIU Incubator to provide students a collaborative space to develop their entrepreneurial ideas.
- Develop a endowment fund to continue providing work-based learning opportunities to upper-level STEM students beyond the life of the grant.
