Our office engages students, faculty, and staff to volunteer and serve in the community through a variety of programs and activities. We encourage citizenship and strong communities by building partnership within TAMIU, with public, nonprofit community-based organizations, and governmental institutions.

President's Volunteer Service Award The President's Volunteer Service Award presents a chance to celebrate and acknowledge the remarkable contributions of our finest TAMIU students, faculty, and staff volunteers, highlighting the profound impact they've had on the community.

The Big Event and Make a Difference Day Join us for The Big Event and Make A Difference Day, our annual service events in the community. Get involved and make a tangible impact as we come together to serve our community, foster connections, and create positive change.

Community Work-Study Program Our office values our community partnerships, encouraging students to connect beyond TAMIU's campus. Through the Community Work Study Program, eligible students can work part-time at non-profits, enhancing their collegiate experience while giving back.

Partnership TAMIU Partnership TAMIU enhances relationships between the university and external agencies, aiding partners in achieving their missions, facilitating resource exchange, and addressing public concerns.

TAMIU in the Community TAMIU in the Community offers faculty and staff a chance to grow personally while benefiting the community. I'm proud to be a Dustdevil, so giving back to the TAMIU community is very rewarding. One of my favorite volunteer experiences was participating in the installation of the Rhizome, a large-scale art project led by Artist and Visiting Assistant Professor Crystal Wagner. This multidisciplinary collaboration between faculty, students, and the community blends music, art, dance, theater, and humanities into an immersive experience.
