Due to the threat of severe winter weather, TAMIU will be closed on Tuesday, Jan. 21.
  • Offices closed Monday, Jan. 20 (MLK Day)
  • Offices closed & classes cancelled Tuesday, Jan. 21
  • Regular office hours resume Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 8 a.m.

MPA Program Structure

The MPA consists of 42 graduate credit hours. Thirty-three (33) of these hours (or 11 courses) are required core courses. The remaining nine (9) hours (3 courses) are supporting electives. These electives can be Special Topics courses in the MPA program or any other 5000-level graduate course offered at this institution, subject to approval by your advisory committee and MPA Director. Any non-MPA course should be related to your professional interests.
