We wish you well during these difficult times. Know that we are all in this challenge together and we will work through it together. Here at the TAMIU MPA, we have quickly adjusted and/or adjusting to changes that #COVID-19 has triggered. Our program continues to be strong and our graduates and students are on the front lines of the pandemic response.
Prospective Applicants
If you are considering applying to the MPA program and you are not sure if now is a good time, rest assured that we are well prepared to continue training public administration professionals, even during these difficult times. You need not be deterred by current circumstances from pursuing a public service career. Summer and fall 2020 admission and registration process has begun and you are encouraged to apply as soon as you can. We will be happy to process you in based on the merits of your application.
Continuing Students
For continuing students, if you are facing particular issues or challenges related to #COVID-19, call 956326-2613 or email pharuna@tamiu.edu with any questions and concerns and we will be happy to work with you toward mutual understanding and resolution. If you are on probationary admission, you will have a chance until the end of fall 2020 semester to take and pass two courses before being allowed to continue.
Graduates and Well-Wishers
For MPA graduates and well-wishers, now, perhaps more than ever, the global community needs well-trained, ethical, effective, and efficient professionals in our public, private, and nonprofit agencies. Bring your extraordinary training and education to bear on your task of creating public value and advancing societal well-being. We are very proud of the way our graduates have handled themselves in this crisis. It bodes well for the future to see the current and next generation of MPA graduates display such resiliency. We wish you the best as the next several months bring unprecedented challenges. Be safe.
