Welcome to the TAMIU Garden
The Garden!
The Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) Community Garden is a small but fruitful permaculture installation on the University's grounds managed by the University’s College of Arts and Sciences. A wide variety of crops are grown year-round, utilizing organic methods that ultimately contribute to the clean, luscious, and flavorful harvest.
Garden Schedule
While in the midst of restructuring and revitalizing the Community Garden, we are open to the public every Wednesday from 5 - 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome, even dogs!
Humble Beginnings
There’s just something about watching life germinate from the magical combination of seed, soil, light and water. From such humble beginnings great civilizations have always drawn sustenance.
Today, we often forget that these beginnings still fuel us all. To do so they must be sustained and respected. Our humble TAMIU Garden is a glimpse at what can and should be.
Let’s get growing, Laredo!
