Comprehensive Exam
A DMPS graduate student will be required to take one or two comprehensive exams to complete the degree.
- Students in the Thesis Track need to take one comprehensive exam in mathematics. Please consult with the Thesis Advisor about the test field.
- Students in the Non-Thesis Mathematics Track need to select two fields from the five required mathematics courses.
- Students in the Non-Thesis Applied Statistics Track need to select one field from the five required mathematics courses, and one statistics field.
- Students in the Non-Thesis Education Track need to select one field from the five required mathematics courses, and one exam in education.
