Fall 2024
Apr 1 Monday. Registration opens for Maymester, Summer, and Fall 2024. Please visit https://www.tamiu.edu/registrar/registration.shtml for assigned registration dates.
Aug 23 Friday. ALL TUITION AND FEES ARE DUE. A $100 Late Fee will be assessed to students registering and paying after this date.
Aug 26 Monday. 1st Class Day.
Aug 30 Friday. Final Late Registration Day; course changes continue through Sept 10 with the permission of the instructor.
Sept 10 Tuesday. 12th Class Day. Census day for the Fall session; last-day courses may be dropped without record. NO REGISTRATION BEYOND THIS POINT.
Sept 30 Monday. Fall 2024 graduation application and payment deadline. A $100 Late Application Fee will be assessed to students applying after this date.
Nov 4 Monday. Registration opens for Wintermester and Spring 2025. Please visit https://www.tamiu.edu/registrar/registration.shtml for assigned registration dates.
Nov 21 Thursday. Last day to drop a course or withdraw from the University.
Nov 27 Wednesday. Reading Day. No classes.
Nov 28–30 Thanksgiving Holidays. University closed.
Dec 3 Tuesday. Last Class Day.
Dec 4-10 Final Examination period.
Dec 10-11 Pre-Commencement Ceremonies. See https://www.tamiu.edu/commencement/ for more information.
Dec 12 Thursday. Commencement; end of Fall 2024 semester.
Dec 17 Tuesday. Final grades are posted on Uconnect for students’ viewing.
Dec 23 – Jan 1 University closed.
Jan 10 Friday. Diplomas and transcripts are available for Fall 2024 graduates.

Fall 2024 Sub-Term I (7 weeks)
Aug 23 Friday. ALL TUITION AND FEES DUE must be paid in full to avoid being dropped for nonpayment. A $100 Late Fee will be assessed to students registering and/or paying after this date.
Aug 26 Monday. First Class Day Sub-Term I.
Aug 28 Wednesday. Final Late Registration Day; course changes continue through Aug 30 with the permission of the instructor.
Aug 30 Friday. Census day for Sub-Term I; last day courses may be dropped without record. NO REGISTRATION BEYOND THIS POINT.

Jan 16 Thursday. Last day to drop a course or withdraw from Wintermester.
Jan 17 Friday. Last Class Day and Final Exams for Wintermester.
Jan 21 Tuesday. Final grades are posted on Uconnect for students’ viewing.

Spring 2025
Jan 17 Friday. ALL TUITION AND FEES ARE DUE. A $100 Late Fee will be assessed to students registering and/or paying after this date. On-campus residences are open for the semester.
Jan 20 Monday. Martin Luther King Day. University closed.
Jan 21 Tuesday. 1st Class Day.
Jan 27 Monday. Final Late Registration Day; course changes continue through Feb 5 with the permission of the instructor.
Feb 5 Wednesday. 12th Class Day. Census day for the Fall session; last-day courses may be dropped without record. NO REGISTRATION BEYOND THIS POINT.
Feb 15 Saturday. Spring 2025 graduation application and payment deadline. A $100 Late Application Fee will be assessed to students applying after this date.
Feb 17 Monday. Twentieth Class Day. All tuition and fees MUST be paid in full to avoid being dropped from the course(s) for non-payment.
Mar 10 - 16 Spring Break; no classes. University closed on March 14.
