army Rotc Scholarships
College isn't getting any less expensive, and everyone is looking for a way to lighten the load. If you have what it takes, Texas A&M International University Army ROTC can help you take the pain out of financing your college education. With your scholarship comes training with ROTC, and some of the most exciting and rewarding experiences possible in college. This is in addition to leadership training that is valued all over the world.
Plus, once you graduate, you will become an Officer in the United States Army, either as full-time as active duty or part-time as a member of the Army Reserve or National Guard. No other scholarship can give you a leadership position in such an internationally recognized organization.
Eligibility:
- U.S. citizen
- Participate in leadership, extracurricular and athletic activities. (Students with part-time jobs may be given substitute credit.)
- Be between the ages of 17 and 26(An age extension of up to four years may be granted to veterans who qualify.)
- Be a high school graduate or have equivalent credit
- Score a minimum of 1000 on the SAT(Math/Verbal) or 19 of the ACT(excluding writing scores)
- Agree to accept a commission as an Officer in the Army
- Have a High School GPA of at least 2.00
Army ROTC Scholarships
4 Year Scholarship: Incoming freshmen are eligible. Must meet above qualifications as well as have good high school grades (approx. 3.5 GPA on 4.0 scale) and have taken the SAT(minimum 1030) or ACT(22 composite score). This test can be taken no later than November of the academic year you apply.
3, 2.5, 2 Year Scholarship: Just heard about ROTC and interested in getting-in on the action? You are eligible if you have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale in your previous college work. Must attend the Cadet Initial Entry Training, a program at Ft. Knox, KY in the summer between your sophomore and junior years. The purpose of the Cadet Initial Entry Training is to provide instruction in the basic leadership and technical skills that will prepare you for your junior and senior years of ROTC. As a veteran, your previous Army service qualifies you to enter without the first two years.
