Here’s your Trailblazer Weekly Bulletin for Monday, February 17, 2025.

 

We’re currently working to resolve power interruptions that have impacted operations for the Fine and Performing Arts (FPA) Building and the Senator Judith Zaffirini Student Success Center (ZSC). Scheduled FPA classes will be meeting in alternate locations posted on main entrance doors of the FPA. Staff will be available in the ZSC to assist students. Services and functions will be delivered, but delays may occur as employees are temporarily relocated during this period. Updates will be provided by official University email.

Some highlights for this week @ TAMIU:

This Wednesday, the inaugural TAMIU Borderlands Photography Show hosts a reception from 5 – 7 p.m. in TAMIU’s Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Gallery. It’s free of charge and open to the public.

Congratulations to...

Our TAMIU software engineering students who are part of an innovative partnership with the Laredo Public Health Department that is working to develop digital solutions that enhance public health services. This collaboration provides students with real-world experience while equipping the department with modernized tools to streamline operations and improve community engagement. Find out more.

Coming Up:

On Friday, Feb. 28. Dr. Ken Tobin, professor of Geology, interim associate dean for the College of Arts and Sciences and a prolific researcher, will provide insight into his TAMIU-ARC grant award, “Tracking Graduate Student Success at a Hispanic Serving Institution,” as part of a lecture for the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects’ Spring Seminar Series.
