TAMIU Celebrates Dia De Los Muertos with Music, Dance Performances
In celebration of Dia de los Muertos, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) hosted a special concert featuring its Ballet Folklórico and Mariachi Internacional.
The performance was held Friday, Nov. 1 at the TAMIU Center for Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Theater.

Guest performances were offered by the Instituto Cultural Mexicano de Laredo Mariachi and Folklórico programs. The event was organized through the University’s College of Arts and Sciences Department of Fine and Performing Arts.
Rooted in tradition, Dia de los Muertos pays tribute to the deceased through music, song, dance, and food. The evening’s festivities included a night of traditional song and dance, including performances of La Bruja, La Llorona, and special song selections from the state of Michoacan.
