How long is the TSIA2 exam?
The TSIA2 exam is untimed. Students should be mindful of the Testing Center hours of operation, as all testing must be done during those hours. Students can save exam and finish later during open hours.
Once an answer has been selected, can one return to it or change it?
Once a question is answered, a student cannot return to that question to change it. After answering each question, the computer calculates a score based on all the answers given and uses this information to select the next question to display. Because the test is adaptive, the student must answer every question when it is first given and cannot omit any question or come back later to change an answer.
If the student does not know the answer to a question, he or she should try to eliminate one or more of the choices, and then pick one of the remaining choices.
Are calculators allowed?
The TSIA2 exam has a built-in calculator to be used for some but not all mathematic questions. If a question allows for the use of a calculator, a calculator icon will appear on the screen.
