Dog Days of Summer Photo Contest
Staff Senate hosted a Dog Days of Summer Photo Contest. Staff submitted pictures of their pets from May 25 to June 24 for a chance to win prizes in three categories. Thank you to all staff who submitted their pictures, we loved seeing your pets!
Spring 2022
Earth Day Celebration
The Staff Senate Board hosted a Photo Scavenger Hunt and Virtual Trivia Game to celebrate Earth Day! Staff was encouraged to participate and celebrate our beautiful earth and acknowledge our efforts in reducing, reusing, and recycling. Eco-friendly prizes were awarded, and Schneider Electric donated a Cruiser Bike as a grand prize.
Employee Appreciation Day
The Staff Senate Board hosted a virtual Loteria Night and Breakfast Taco Morning to celebrate Employee Appreciation Day! Staff played Loteria on Thursday, March 3, 2022, and on March 4, 2022 enjoyed a tasty breakfast taco.
Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Tag
In February 2022, staff members were invited to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Tag. An opportunity for all staff members to come together and spread kindness amongst each other. RAK Tag encouraged staff members to intentionally practice kindness during the week of February 21-25.
Fall 2021: Slice of Thanks
In November 2021, Staff Senate Board hosted A Slice of Thanks celebrating our faculty and staff's hard work and effort this semester. Staff enjoyed a slice of pie with a tasty hot beverage.
Summer 2021: End-of-Summer Fiesta
On August 2021, the Staff Senate Board hosted an End-of-Summer Fiesta to celebrate staff members’ hard work and effort throughout the year. Staff enjoyed a Mexican corn in a cup or paleta de fruta along with agua fresca.
Fall 2020: Holiday Festivities
On December 2020, TAMIU faculty and staff members celebrated the holidays on campus with a series of fun, socially-distanced activities: a Dusty's Food Pantry donation drive, virtual loteria, holiday to-go beverages, a holiday photo contest, a virtual holiday painting party, and lunch to-go.
Spring 2020: Employee Appreciation Day
In March 2020, Staff Senate Board hosted Employee Appreciation Day to celebrate TAMIU Staff with donuts and coffee.
Fall 2019: Jamboozie Fest Volunteers
TAMIU employees assisted the Business Office at the November 2019 Jamboozie Fest. Jamboozie Fest is fall festival with music and outdoor activities.
