Next IBC Bank & Commerce Bank Keynote Speaker Series at TAMIU Focuses on Supply Chain Transformation March 6

Dr. Alan Amling, a TED speaker and leading authority on supply chain transformation and digital disruption, will be the featured presenter of the next iteration of the 2024-2025 IBC Bank & Commerce Bank Keynote Speaker Series at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) on Thursday, March 6, at 6 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.

A globally recognized thought leader and the CEO of Thrive and Advance, LLC, Dr. Amling will present “Certain Uncertainty: Strategic Insights for Executive Decision-Making in 2025.” He will explore how leaders can navigate the tumultuous post-Pandemic world by distinguishing global trends from noise and making informed, strategic decisions in the face of digital, demographic, and diplomatic changes.

Named one of the Top 50 Global Thought Leaders and Influencers on Digital Disruption in 2022 and a “Top Executive Management Voice” by LinkedIn in 2024,  Dr. Amling parlays his leadership experiences over a 27-year career with UPS with cutting-edge research to help businesses large and small better understand the changing world order of commerce and how they can position themselves for success.

As a former Vice President of Corporate Strategy at UPS, Amling revitalized UPS’s innovation and venture capital programs to support the digital economy. He moved into this role after serving as VP of Marketing for UPS Global Logistics & Distribution. His first job for UPS was loading packages and washing vehicles in college.

Today, he teaches at the University of Tennessee’s #1 rated Master of Supply Chain program and advises various supply chain startups and organizations, including the Georgia Tech Manufacturing Institute and the NextGen Supply Chain Conference.

Amling is a regular contributor to leading publications such as Fortune, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. His latest book, "Organizational Velocity," was published in 2022, offering critical insights into modern supply chain management.
