TAMIU's A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business to be Represented at Annual CUIBE Conference in Medellín, Colombia in April

In its inaugural year as a member, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) will be represented at the Consortium for Undergraduate International Business Education (CUIBE) Spring 2025 Meeting, April 3 - 5, at Universidad EAFIT in Medellín, Colombia.
CUIBE is a collaborative network of leading undergraduate business schools dedicated to advancing international business (IB) education. Last Fall, TAMIU’s A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business was accepted to the prestigious network whose members represent over half of the Top 30 undergraduate IB programs in the U.S.
TAMIU dean of the Sanchez School of Business Dr. Luis Pérez-Batres said the Sanchez School’s CUIBE membership and participation in the Spring meeting affirms the School’s international aspiration.
“TAMIU’s aspiration to become a premier international university strongly resonates with our students, faculty, and staff. Our decision to apply for CUIBE’s membership expresses our sincere desire to contribute to that ideal. Thus, having an acceptance to present our perspective in this forum alongside prestigious universities is remarkably satisfying. I appreciate Dr. Ned Kock's support of this Sanchez School initiative and congratulate him for submitting a successful proposal,” Dr. Pérez explained.
Dr. Ned Kock, Sanchez School chair of the Division of International Business and Technology Studies, concurred and said he looks forward to collaborative opportunities at the CUIBE Spring 2025 Meeting. He will present “Articulating the Use of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) for Teaching and Learning I.B.”
“Representing TAMIU and the Sanchez School of Business in such a prestigious International Business forum is exciting. Having the opportunity to directly collaborate with colleagues from Washington State, Northeastern, and Rollins College is very positive for us,” Dr. Kock explained.
Dr. Pérez noted that TAMIU’s strategic role in the international business education conversation is further amplified by Laredo’s location and ranking as the #1 international trading port in the Americas.
“Our location and strong ties to international-focused industries position us uniquely to contribute to business education and regional economic growth,” he said.
