TAMIU Announces Closure Tuesday Due to Severe Weather Conditions
Due to the forecasted severe winter conditions announced by the National Weather Service today, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) will close offices and cancel classes on Tuesday, January 21.
This decision comes as a precautionary measure in response to anticipated subfreezing temperatures to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff during the extreme weather conditions.
The University's offices are closed on Monday, January 20 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
TAMIU will resume regular hours of operation and classes on Wednesday, January 22 at 8 a.m.
Additional updates will be communicated through SafeZone, the University's free mobile safety app for students, faculty and staff, and official University email and media channels, in addition to the University website.
TAMIU encourages all members of the community to stay safe by staying indoors, avoiding travel, dressing warmly, and checking on vulnerable individuals during the expected cold weather.
In the case of an emergency, please contact TAMIU Campus Police at (956) 326-2100.
Late Registration will continue at TAMIU through Monday, Jan. 27.
