TAMIU SBDC Offers QuickBooks Course

Texas A&M International University's Small Business Development Center (TAMIU SBDC) offered a QuickBooks course Jan. 29 for individuals to learn how to use the online accounting software effectively.
The course, led by a certified business advisor, covered the basics of QuickBooks, including how to enter sales, track expenses, and manage daily workflows. Attendees also learned tips and tricks to maximize the software's capabilities and monitor business growth.
The in-person course took place at TAMIU. Participants had access to computers, internet, and the software during the session.
“Accounting software such as QuickBooks considerably reduces the financial management stress on small businesses,” Norma Rodríguez, TAMIU SBDC director, said, “If you're not ready to hire an accountant to manage your books and finances, a program is an excellent alternative as it speeds up the accounting process, minimizes errors, enhances data accessibility, maintains organization and compliance, and saves money.”
TAMIU's SBDC assists small businesses in Jim Hogg, Webb, and Zapata counties with no-cost confidential advising services, low-cost to no-cost training and market research.
