Texas A&M International University's Small Business Development Center (TAMIU SBDC) will offer a QuickBooks course on Wednesday, Jan. 29 for individuals who want to learn how to use the online accounting software effectively.

The course, led by a certified business advisor, will cover the basics of QuickBooks, including  how to enter sales, track expenses, and manage daily workflows. Attendees will also learn tips and tricks to maximize the software's capabilities and monitor business growth.

The in-person course will take place at TAMIU from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is limited seating available. Limited seating is available, and the cost to enroll is $125 per person. Participants will have access to computers, internet, and the software during the session.

“Accounting software such as QuickBooks considerably reduces the financial management stress on small businesses,” Norma Rodríguez, TAMIU SBDC director, said. “If you're not ready to hire an accountant to manage your books and finances, a program is an excellent alternative as it speeds up the accounting process, minimizes errors, enhances data accessibility, maintains organization and compliance, and saves money.”

TAMIU's SBDC assists small businesses in Jim Hogg, Webb, and Zapata counties with no-cost confidential advising services, low-cost to no-cost training and market research.
