Holiday Season Begins with TAMIU’s ‘Guitarras de Navidad’

Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) will “strum” in the holiday season during its 21st annual “Guitarras de Navidad” Concert performance, happening Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Recital Hall. 

Admission is free and open to the community. 

The performance features the TAMIU Classical Guitar Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Gilberto D. Soto, professor of Music.  

The evening’s program features holiday music from various composers and genres, including performances of “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “Greensleeves,” “The Nutcracker Suite,” and more.

The concert caps the month-long series of live music offerings through the University’s College of Arts and Sciences’ department of Fine and Performing Arts.
