Master of Science in Biology
Thesis: 30 Semester Credit Hours
Non- thesis: 36 Semester Credit Hours
Program Information:
New research programs are beginning in botany, pharmacology and microbiology. Current research focuses in genetic basics for the reproductive behavior of cichlids, behavioral ecology of scorpions, natural history of spiders, bioremediation and the medicinal uses of native plant species.

Program Requirements:
- Overall GPA of 2.5 or higher and a 3.0 in biology GPA (or related field)
- For applicant without a Bachelor’s in Biology: Overall GPA of 2.5 and 3.0 GPA in the pre-required stemwork
- Personal statement: Indicate Type of Research and Faculty Member that you will work with
