Expressive Activity on Campus (SB 18)

Senate Bill 18, passed by the 86th Legislature (2019) and codified in Texas Education Code Ann. 51.9315, requires that by December 1, 2020, all institutions of higher education prepare, post on the institution's Internet website, and submit to the Governor and the members of the legislature "a report regarding the institution's implementation” of this new law.

Any person who believes that their campus expressive activity rights, as recognized by TAMIU Rule 08.99.99.L1, Expressive Activity on Campus, have been unduly interfered with by a student, student organization, or employee has the right to file a grievance in accordance with the Rule.
