ADA Committee
Purpose
The ADA Committee members represent various stakeholders across campus who are involved in the implementation of disability services for students, reasonable accommodations for employees, and ADA compliance for third parties at the University. The ADA Committee discusses issues as they arise across campus, making recommendations to the President for necessary changes towards compliance.
Committee Mission Statement
The ADA Committee is dedicated to fostering a more accessible University rooted in the core value of providing a quality education that is free from barriers and open to diverse individuals of different abilities. The ADA Committee of TAMIU is comprised of representatives from TAMIU who are committed to servicing students and employees with disabilities by ensuring equal access to the benefits of the University’s education, policies, programs, activities, and facilities.
