TAMIU Faculty Ushers In Fall with Opening Concert Friday
Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) will kick off its Fall 2024 performance schedule with its annual Faculty Opening Concert Friday, Sept. 27, at 7:30 p.m. at the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall (CFPA).
Admission is free and open to the public.
Musical selections range from classical, ragtime, and jazz pieces. Performances at the evening concert feature TAMIU faculty and adjunct faculty members Dr. Mark Boseman, Dr. Colin Campbell, Dr. Mary Grace Carroll, Dr. Fritz Gechter, Dr. Yu-Mei Huang, Dr. Jiyeon Hwang, Dr. Michael Mann, Dr. James Moyer, Dr. Claire Salli, Dr. Gilberto Soto, Dr. Xiaohu Zhou, Carlos Castañeda, Melissa Hinojosa, Jerry Quintero, and John Reimund.
Immediately after the concert, attendees are encouraged to attend a ‘meet and greet’ with University faculty performers outside the CFPA Gallery on the second floor.

While events are offered at no cost, donations are gladly accepted at the door to support scholarships for TAMIU Fine and Performing Arts students.
