April at TAMIU Features Music, Dance Performances
Several live music and dance performances are currently scheduled at Texas A&M International University’s (TAMIU) Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA).
Upcoming events include:
- Keyboard Studio Recital – Thursday, April 4 at 7:30 p.m. in the CFPA Recital Hall
- Spring Dance Concert – Friday, April 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the CFPA Theater
- Choir & Voice Studio Recital – Tuesday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the CFPA Recital Hall
- TAMIU Orchestra Performance – Wednesday, April 10 at 2 p.m. in the Student Center Rotunda
- Percussion Ensemble Recital – Wednesday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the CFPA Recital Hall
- TAMIU Orchestra Recital: Sounds of Mexico – Tuesday, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the CFPA Recital Hall
- Jazz Band Performance – Wednesday, April 17 at 12:10 p.m. in the Student Center Rotunda
- Mariachi Internacional Spring Concert – Fiesta del Mariachi – Thursday, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the CFPA Recital Hall
- Jazz Band Concert – Tuesday, April 23 at 6 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Theater
- Music on the Menu – Wednesday, April 24 at 12:10 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall
- Guitar Ensemble Recital – Wednesday, April 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall
- Symphonic Band Concert – Friday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Fine and Performing Arts Recital Hall

While events are offered at no cost, donations are gladly accepted at the door to support scholarships for TAMIU fine and performing arts students.
In addition to the music and dance performance, the University’s Rhizome project is in full swing with a culminating unveiling and performance Friday, April 12 at 7 p.m. The event will feature musical, dance and theatrical performances.
