Governor of Tamaulipas Visits TAMIU

The Governor of Tamaulipas, México, Egidio Torre Cantú (right), joins Texas A&M International University provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, Dr. Pablo Arenaz, in signing a Memorandum of Agreement in ceremonies Thursday morning at TAMIU’s Helen Richter Watson Gallery. The agreement makes possible faculty and student exchanges and collaboration/research activities with universities throughout the state of Tamaulipas. Governor Cantú also presented an aggressive Energy Plan for Tamaulipas while at TAMIU. The University’s emerging programs in engineering and petroleum engineering could benefit from collaborative efforts between TAMIU and other Tamaulipas universities.
