‘Pump It Up’ Rec Center Referendum Voting April 8-10 at TAMIU
The ‘Pump It Up’ Rec Center Addition and Field Referendum Vote for currently enrolled Texas A&M International University students will be held online Monday-April 8 through Wednesday, April 10.
This proposed Referendum funds the addition of a Rec Center Wing, expanding cardio and weight-training spaces and adding activity rooms for classes like Iron Pump, Martial Arts Fitness, PiYo and Zumba. A track and multi-use field will also be constructed.
If passed, the Rec Center fee would increase by less than $8 per month (a flat $34 increase for Fall and Spring semesters), far less than most local gym memberships.
Information sessions on the proposed fee were held on campus March 20 and 28. A final information session will be held Monday, April 1 at 12:30 p.m. in the Student Center Rotunda.
Information presented in the sessions is also available online at: http://www.tamiu.edu/documents/hearings.pdf
