Essentials of Project Management Non-Credit Course Dec. 5

Learn the latest tools and techniques necessary for successful project management at a non-credit certificate course at Texas A&M International University Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6 in Anthony J. and Georgia A. Pellegrino Hall, room 114.

Fee for “Essentials of Project Management for Any Type of Business” is $250 per participant and $200 for TAMIU employees, students and alumni.

Registration will also be held on Friday, Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. before the course meets from 7 – 9 p.m. The course will resume Saturday, Dec. 6 at 8 a.m. through 12 p.m. and again from 1 – 4 p.m.

This non-credit course is targeted at managers and individuals new to project management, “accidental” project managers, business analysts, subject-matter experts from any field who contribute to projects, managers responsible for projects and experienced project managers looking to review current tools, techniques and processes.

Participants will get an overview of the framework of project management, discuss key concepts, terminology and rules, identifying and assigning ownership estimating work, creating budgets and other topics pertaining to project management.

Course instructor Rodolfo Portillo is an adjunct professor of business logistics management at TAMIU.
