TAMIU-SBDC Offers Seminar on International Trade Thursday
The Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) will hold a free-of-charge seminar on international trade Thursday, June 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at TAMIU’s Western Hemispheric Trade Center, room 125.
The Import Basics Seminar helps establish a foundation, find a starting point, identify the fundamentals, and provides an overarching view of the trade arena.
Guest speaker Minerva García from the South-West Texas Border Region SBDC International Trade Center will cover the following topics:
- Benefits of importing
- Is importing really cheaper?
- Finding qualified suppliers
- Supplier selection and management
- Quality control
- The importation process
- U.S. Customs
- Paying for your imports.
