TAMIU Guitar Student Recital Saturday, Nov. 24

Enjoy the most incredible classical sounds of Johann Sebastian Bach performed by students at Texas A&M International University.

The senior student recital is scheduled Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007, at 7 p.m. at the TAMIU Center for the Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA) Recital Hall.

Admission is free and the community is welcome to attend.

Senior music/guitar major Aileen González will play music by J.S. Bach, Mateo Carcassi, Fernando Sor and Laurindo Almeida, among others.

Preceding the performance at 6 p.m. in the CFPA main lobby will be a book signing by Dr. Gilberto D. Soto, TAMIU professor of music education and guitar. Soto will sign copies of his bilingual music education book, “Music of our World: Mexico.” The recently released book is also available at the TAMIU Bookstore.
