AutMus Fest Set Saturday at TAMIU
The second annual AutMus Fest will be held Saturday on the grounds of Texas A&M International University. Gates open at 11 a.m. and the first performance will take place at 1 p.m.
AutMus is a celebration of music and offers a variety of artists and genres from oldies and rock en Español to the Grammy-winning sounds of Los Angeles-based Ozomatli.
This event is presented by the Texas A&M International University Alumni Association with sponsorship by Sames Ford, BMP and Popeyes.
Proceeds will support student scholarships at TAMIU.
Presale tickets are available at all Popeyes locations for $5 until Friday, Oct. 6 at 11 p.m. Tickets are also available until 5 p.m. Friday at TAMIU’s Office for Institutional Advancement. Gate tickets will be $10.
Food and refreshments will be available for sale as will fun games and activities for children.
The Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library will be open from 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
The artist lineup for the event is as follows:
- 1 - 2 p.m. – Supaphat (Laredo, Electronic Funk)
- 2 - 3 p.m. - Stonegroove (San Antonio, Oldies)
- 3 - 4 p.m. – The Brannen Temple Group (Austin, Trip Hop Jazz)
- 4 - 5 p.m. Honky (Austin, Country Rock)
- 5 - 6 p.m. - 24-Seven (San Antonio, Rock)
- 6 - 7 p.m. – Maneja Beto (Austin, Rock en Español)
- 7 - 7:30 p.m. – Erin Marie (Dallas, Pop)
- 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. – JD Natasha (Miami, Pop/Rock)
- 8:30 -10 p.m. – Costumbre (Zapata, Tejano)
- 10 -12 a.m. – Ozomatli (Los Angeles, Eclectic Beat).
