A&M International Talk to Focus on Gender and Language Differences
The Texas A&M International University Women's Studies Program will sponsor a free presentation entitled "You Just Don't Understand Me!: Gender and Language Differences in Conversation," on Monday, April 14 from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. in Bullock Hall room 114.
Featured presenter will be Dr. Kathleen Pletsch de Garcia, Assistant Professor of English and Spanish at A&M International.
The presentation, which is part of a Lunch-Time Speaker Series commemorating Women's History Month, is free and open to members of the community.
Upcoming presentations in the Series include: "Women in Children's Literature," featuring Dr. Frances Gates Rhodes, Monday, April 21; and "Sexual Assault/Sexual Harassment," featuring A&M International University Chief of Police Harry Stege, Tuesday, April 29.
All presentations will be held from 12:00 noon - 1:00 p.m. in Bullock Hall room 114.
Persons who attend the Lunch-Time Speaker Series may bring their lunch to the presentations. Cookies will be served.
